ADI-XP®- insulation module system is extremely leak-proof and safe. It is designed to insulate ships’ exhaust ducts and pipes, which have to work in extremely high temperatures.
ADI-XP®-insulation solution minimises heat loss and retains the high efficiency of the engine’s energy generation. ADI-XP®-solution meets the SOLAS requirements for surface temperatures, the purpose of which is to improve fire safety and the safety of individuals. According to the SOLAS requirements, surface temperature must not exceed 220°C. Thanks to the modular structure of the product, the insulation performance of ADI-XP® can be significantly increased according to the customer’s requirements. When needed due to the requirements of personal safety, for example, the surface temperature can be reduced to below 60°C. The product also meets ATEX requirements.
LONG LIFE AND QUICK TO DISMANTLE AND INSTALL – THE MOST ECONOMICALLY ADVANTGEOUS INSULATION SOLUTION
ADI-XP® is constructed of metal modules attached to each other. The insulating material is encased inside the modules. Thanks to its modular structure, the product is easy to install, dismantle and reinstall. The modular components are light and easy to handle. This guarantees many cost advantages. The duration of maintenance is minimised and downtime is considerably shortened. The modular structure gives the product long life: it can be removed and reinstalled numerous times, while its insulation performance remains exactly as efficient as when new. What’s more, reinstallation does not require employees who specialise in installation; instead, the work can be carried out by the regular staff at the site.
This combination of qualities makes the product’s life-cycle costs extremely low. Taking the product’s total costs into account, this is a considerably more affordable investment than traditional methods of insulation. If a modular component gets damaged when hit by a hoist, for example, there is no need to replace the entire insulation; instead, thanks to the structure, it is enough to replace just the damaged module.
THE ENCASED INSULATION MATERIAL IS LONG-LIFE SURABLE AND SAFE
The insulating material is encased inside the module. Thanks to the encapsulation, the insulating material will remain in place despite the vibration of the engine or the module’s movement. Consequently, no loose insulating material is created which would need to be handled and recycled. The casing prevents liquids from entering the capsule, making the product extremely fireproof..
ADVANCED LOCKING SYSTEM IMROVES DIRE AND PERSONAL SAFETY
One vital component of the solution is its advanced locking system. It is located inside the insulation module, ensuring that the seams of the modules adhere tightly to each other. This prevents heat loss. Thanks to the locking system and the tight seams, the product will continue to satisfy the SOLAS requirements year after year. The product also considerably improves safety at work and maintenance efficiency. The locking system guarantees that the lock does not open by accident. No special tools are needed to open the module, as the lock can be opened with a normal hex-key.
ADI-XP® – WE TAILOR THE PRODUCT AS PART OF A NEW ENGINE, OR DESIGN IT FOR AN EXISTING ENGINGE
The product can be designed as a component of a new engine, or the old insulation can be replaced with ADI-XP® during servicing operations. The product is tailored to fit every application.
